We are seeking a highly experienced contaminated land and groundwater professional to provide expert advice to support acquisition, divestment, operations and optimisation of Sydney Water land. The role works collaboratively across Sydney Water and throughout our area of operations. In addition to supporting our growing capital investment program ($34 billion), the role supports ongoing due diligence and long-term management of contamination risks across Sydney Water's large land portfolio (including assessment, remediation and management).
You should be skilled in managing internal and external stakeholder expectations, staying across legislative requirements, technology and initiatives relevant to our business, and balancing competing priorities in a high-volume work environment. As a technical project manager, you will be required to support prevailing business needs and be expected to lead efficient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: 7-10 years of experience in relevant fields Sound technical judgement and ability to cultivate productive working relationships. Exemplary communication and stakeholder management skills that enable complex environmental information and technical advice to be clearly communicated and understood by non-technical audiences Strong problem-solving skills, ability to 'think outside the box' and to make risk-based decisions on complex environmental matters including land contamination Strong commercial acumen throughout decision making and advice on contaminated land management Contribute to project risk workshops and provide expert advice based on industry knowledge and environmental expertise.
