Since 2020, DC House Granny Flats has been dedicated to crafting exceptional granny flats, completing over 250 residential builds to date.
Our granny flat products include standard builds, reconfigured base designs, and custom homes, and our clients include both investors and owner-occupiers.

Position Overview Project Leadership: Lead and manage the construction of approximately 80 residential granny flat builds per year from planning through to handover, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.
Client Interaction: Effectively communicate with clients to ensure projects align with their expectations, including conducting on-site meetings as necessary.
Financial Management: Efficiently oversee materials procurement and manage project budgets and finances, maintaining strict control over costs and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Team Collaboration and Quality Assurance: Work closely with the build team and site managers to guarantee timely and high-quality construction, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Compliance and Standards Adherence: Ensure all construction designs and activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards, and assist the build team with obtaining necessary building and development approvals.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress and performance, provide regular updates to senior management and clients, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Risk and Resource Management: Manage project risks and resolve issues promptly, escalating complex challenges as necessary.
Coordinate both internal and external resources to maximize project efficiency.
Team Leadership and Stakeholder Communication: Assemble and manage project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
Communicate regularly with all stakeholders about project status and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Experience: Project Management Expertise: Requires at least 4 years' experience as a Project Manager, with a degree in Construction or Project Management.
Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, while being highly organized to handle competing priorities.
Client and Team Leadership: Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients to ensure projects meet their expectations, combined with strong leadership and communication skills for managing a small team.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools relevant to the construction industry is essential.
Problem Solving and Attention to Detail: Must have excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of the project are managed and executed precisely.
Local Industry Knowledge and Licenses: Ideally, candidates should have experience with construction projects within Queensland.
A current QLD Driver's License is required and a trade background is considered advantageous.
