Our granny flat products include standard builds, reconfigured base designs and custom homes, and our clients include both investors and owner-occupiers.Our mission is clear: to support our clients in achieving their goals of family accommodation and providing an investment option.Position OverviewProject Leadership: Lead and manage the construction of approximately 80 residential granny flat builds per year from planning through to handover, ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality expectations.Client Interaction: Effectively communicate with clients to ensure projects align with their expectations, including conducting on-site meetings as necessary.Financial Management: Efficiently oversee materials procurement and manage project budgets and finances, maintaining strict control over costs and ensuring accurate financial reporting.Team Collaboration and Quality Assurance: Work closely with the build team and site managers to guarantee timely and high-quality construction, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Compliance and Standards Adherence: Ensure all construction designs and activities comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards, and assist the build team with obtaining necessary building and development approvals.Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress and performance, provide regular updates to senior management and clients, and implement corrective actions as needed.Risk and Resource Management: Manage project risks and resolve issues promptly, escalating complex challenges as necessary. Coordinate both internal and external resources to maximize project efficiency.Team Leadership and Stakeholder Communication: Assemble and manage project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress. Communicate regularly with all stakeholders about project status and identify opportunities for process improvements.Experience:Project Management Expertise: Requires at least 4 years' experience as a Project Manager, with a degree in Construction or Project Management. Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines, while being highly organized to handle competing priorities.Client and Team Leadership: Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients to ensure projects meet their expectations, combined with strong leadership and communication skills for managing a small team.Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software and tools relevant to the construction industry is essential.Problem Solving and Attention to Detail: Must have excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail, ensuring all aspects of the project are managed and executed precisely.Local Industry Knowledge and Licenses: Ideally, candidates should have experience with construction projects within Queensland.
