Job DescriptionOur team is looking for a project manager to deliver a mix of Commercial/Retail Developer projects and also Industrial/Logistics projects.
To lead Project Management Commissions, taking responsibility for end-to-end service delivery, often with respect to large or complex projects.
To act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets and the appropriate quality standards.Manage all aspects of the project and both the internal team and consultant team to deliver quality outputs on time.
Manage commissions, cashflows, budgets plus assist with resourcing and superintendent recommendations.
Training and development of junior staff (transfer of skills to graduates and assistant PMs).
Planning and managing quality, safety, health and environment issues on projects.
Risk identification and management.
Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilised throughout project.Key Responsibilities:Project planning, including ensuring the production of the detailed project plan.Advising upon the procurement of contractors and consultants.Co-ordinating with the overall cross-functional project team.Managing the change control process.Monitoring and advising upon project finances.Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.Ensuring the production of formal project progress and other reports.Taking a leading role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.Stakeholder management, understanding client key requirements and communicating/reporting accordingly.Managing the tender process and producing tender recommendations.Marketing and business development activities.Internal management activities including financial management and quality processes and procedures.If you join our team, you will be responsible for end-to-end service delivery of complex, and interesting projects.
You will be able to see how projects are identified, assessed, planned, and then taken through the preliminary design, detailed design, tender, construction and close out phases.
You will assist with development of budgets, manage complex stakeholder arrangements, assess tenders, co-ordinate contractors and consultants and take ownership of the projects you deliver.
You will also have the opportunity to assist with client relationship management and business generation as part of the wider team.Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in a relevant project management, or relevant industry experience in construction delivery (Builder, Contract administration, Client Side Project Management, Architecture, or various Engineering disciplines etc.
).Strong comprehension of building construction head-contractor procurement strategies and associated forms of contracting (construct only, D&C, D&C GMP with ECI, CM, or others etc.
).Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills (organisation/time management) and the ability to work in teams.Strong people skills – ability to work with all types of people / 'walks of life' / relationship building skills.Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.Detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Understanding of regulatory, governance and community requirements.A hardworking, driven, self-sufficient, pro-active and motivated individual.Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.Ability to work in a high-pressure (dynamic/fast-paced) environment and remain focused and effective under pressure.Ability to adapt and be flexible and handle change (conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines).Additional Information:Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
