About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Build Readiness this role will act as the ASC project manager in defining, planning, and executing Build Readiness scope and activities in compliance with the Program Master Schedule to achieve milestones. This role provides guidance to the Build Readiness project teams, directing and setting challenging performance targets. Key dependencies include interfacing with Build Readiness Integrated Project Team (IPT) to optimise scope and design maturity for PD-related activities.

The Project Manager works with the leadership team to maintain a strategic perspective on the business, addressing long-term issues, opportunities, and risks.

Responsibilities

Assist with defining, planning, and executing Build Readiness scope and activities in compliance with the Program Master Schedule.

Ensure capability and workforce development requirements align with program demands and strategies.

Maintain a strategic perspective on the entire business, addressing long-term issues, opportunities, and risks.

Provide leadership to Build Readiness project teams, setting direction and performance targets.

Be prepared for periodic or regular overseas travel.

About You

Tertiary qualifications in a technical, business, or project management discipline, or equivalent experience in a systems engineering or complex asset management/development environment.

Professional certifications/memberships in Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM).

Minimum of 10 years' experience in a complex project environment at a Project Manager level (or equivalent), with at least two years of demonstrated success in leading complex projects or portfolios.

Demonstrated understanding of project strategy creation and alignment with organisational goals.

High-quality writing skills, excellent time management, and organisational skills.

Practical knowledge of stakeholder and personnel management in a complex project environment.

Be autonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited direction.

Eligibility

This role requires a current National Police Clearance, an Australian Defence Security Clearance and an ability to access protected US defence technology. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearances and approvals.

Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.
