Lead and manage large-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, driving innovation and efficiency in Australia's renewable energy sector.D'Arcy Weil is representing a leading renewable energy company known for its expertise in developing and operating large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) across Australia.
Our client is at the forefront of advancing energy storage solutions to enhance grid stability and support the integration of renewable energy sources.
As the Project Manager – BESS, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of BESS projects, managing all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation through to commissioning and handover.Your role will involve coordinating with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full lifecycle of BESS projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project milestones are met.
Liaise with stakeholders, including regulatory authorities, local communities, and contractors, to ensure project alignment and compliance.
Oversee risk management activities, identifying potential issues and implementing mitigation strategies.
Ensure all project activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Monitor project performance and report on progress, financials, and key performance indicators to senior management.
Manage project changes, including scope, schedule, and cost adjustments, and ensure effective communication with all parties involved.
Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Facilitate project meetings, including progress reviews, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagements.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting BESS projects.

Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on BESS projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale energy storage projects.
Strong knowledge of BESS technologies, grid integration, and energy market dynamics.
Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in project management software and methodologies.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Current Australian working rights (no sponsorship offered for this position).
