You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the roleThe Project Manager (AWP Priority) - Track & Civil at V/Line is a dynamic leader responsible for driving high-priority projects within the Major Periodic Maintenance Program. You will play a key role in executing the Annual Works Plan, ensuring compliance with the 7-Year Plan and governance standards. This position not only involves mentoring and developing Project Engineers to enhance their capabilities but also prioritizes safety by effectively managing risks for staff and customers alike. Join us in making a significant impact on Victoria's rail infrastructure while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration!Key accountabilities include:Lead and Mentor: Provide management and guidance to Project Engineers, enhancing team capabilities for high-priority project delivery.Project Planning: Oversee the identification, planning, and development phases of Major Periodic Maintenance (MPM) projects across track and civil disciplines.Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and identify cost-effective solutions.Dynamic Work Management: Establish and manage work packages, delegating tasks and identifying early works for acceleration as needed.Reporting and Compliance: Deliver program and project reports for KPI tracking, ensuring adherence to V/Line's governance and design management processes.Safety Coordination: Conduct Safety in Design workshops and manage risks to maintain a safe work environment.Procurement and Approvals: Coordinate procurement of materials and obtain necessary approvals for project execution.About youWe are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering high-priority railway projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects within the transport infrastructure sector, demonstrating strong leadership and collaboration skills. You will play a key role in mentoring your team while ensuring compliance with safety and governance standards.Our ideal candidate will possess the following:5+ years in a cross-functional, matrix environment with multiple stakeholders.Proven track record in the design and delivery of railway projects within transport infrastructure.Strong grasp of project management principles and techniques, including railway track maintenance and renewal.Experience in design and costing for railway track and civil projects.Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams and managing government agency relationships.Detail-oriented leader who fosters collaboration, resolves conflicts, and adapts to changing project dynamics with innovative solutions.Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.QualificationBachelor's degree or tertiary equivalent in an engineering discipline, preferably civil.A full position description will be made available to interviewees.How to ApplyPlease use the 'Apply' button to submit your application, including a current resume.
