The Opportunity **6 Months Fixed-Term Contract** Reporting to the Group Manager - Asset Management, this role will focus on the delivery of Aveo's capex projects to village communal buildings via yearly capex/opex programme.
You will focus on the delivery of capital projects within the budget over the assigned villages, running multiple projects concurrently.
This role will also assist the State Project Manager in the delivery of the community centre refurbishment projects as needed and managing stakeholder engagement.
You'll be seen as a 'Trusted Advisor' and 'Subject Matter Expert' in the assigned state and work closely with stakeholders including residents, operational managers and other business units You will Manage and deliver internal and external repairs and capex works to communal buildings, grounds and resident's accommodation Deliver facilities/services and civil based projects of varied sizes with consultant engagement as required Work with key stakeholders to develop and deliver the asset strategies State, village and project budget oversight to align with asset strategy Prepare and submit business papers for capital approval to the executive team Engagement of external architects, builders and consultants to deliver programme Ensure Contract management and project legislation adherence Obtain local approvals and surveyor sign off for relatable works Ensuring sustainability is part of the delivery lifecycle Assist with technology installations where required What you'll bring Significant demonstrated experience in facilities management or builder/construction projects of various sizes and types Previous experience project managing complex maintenance and construction works Superior negotiation and communication skills with varied internal and external stakeholders Ability to influence stakeholders, both internal and external, as well as senior leadership, operations, sales and community team members Strong reporting skills to various levels within the business Computer literate - must be competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
