Role The Hybrid Project Manager and Business Analyst Team Manager is a dynamic, hands-on role that combines the responsibilities of project management and business analysis. The role requires close collaboration with the Sydney-based Development Team, Product Owners, stakeholders across the business, external vendors, and partners. This position oversees a team of business analysts and an RPA Developer, focusing on people development, delivery of objectives, and the automation of key manual processes. Development at CMC is based on agile methodology, requiring the successful candidate to be hands-on in scoping out requirements, documenting as necessary, and working closely with delivery squads and internal and external stakeholders to deliver changes.
Please note that we operate onsite working and would require you to come into our Barangaroo office 5 days per week. Responsibilities Project Management: Lead and manage business improvement/ transformation projects, focusing on reengineering processes in collaboration with operations and service centre team management/team leaders.Manage project timelines, resources, and resource budget to ensure timely delivery of objectives.Business Analysis: Perform business analysis on both enterprise-scale projects and within smaller product-focused squads.Analyse and document business processes and requirements using appropriate methodologies and tools, emphasizing continual process improvement and scalability.Facilitate design sessions with the implementation team to define the solution.Convert business needs into functional designs using knowledge of system capabilities, rules, and architecture.Document new and updated business processes for end users.Review and revise documentation based on new information and changes to initial assumptions, considering project time, cost, quality, and risk.Process Improvement and Automation: Produce As-Is and To-Be process maps.Identify and capitalize on improvement opportunities, including deploying tactical automation/RPA solutions to enhance productivity in operations teams.Closely track ROI on Robotic Process Automation workstream.Testing and Support: Provide support and participate in testing activities, including unit testing, BA testing, and system testing, ensuring adequate project coverage.Investigate and help resolve problems in close collaboration with system developers and functional/business users.Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of professionals, providing guidance and support.Ensure all HR functions are completed as required, focusing on people development.Drive and document a standardized "BA Practice" fit for purpose at CMC Markets.Key Skills And Experience: Essential: Minimum 5 years' experience as a technical BA in the finance industry.Management experience.Desirable: Experience in retail or institutional stockbroking or banking.Experience with agile development methodologies.Experience with broking back end systems such as GBST, DCA, IRESS.Experience with data analysis, SQL.Experience with tools such as Miro, Jira, Confluence, and Visio.Benefits Competitive salary + bonus.Charity give-back days.1 extra annual day of leave for your birthday.CMC Benefits hub, Social Club, Women@CMC, LinkedIn Learning, Novated Leasing + more.Generous L&D program so you can continue to build new skills to grow your professional career.CMC Markets is powered by our people.
