About the Role:
A leading mining contractor is seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Superintendent to oversee the maintenance of a mobile fleet supporting mining and haulage operations in North West Queensland.
What's On Offer: Competitive remuneration package.8:6 roster - FIFO/DIDO options for the right candidate.Permanent position with a leading mining contractor on a key project.Career development opportunities in a dynamic and supportive environment.About You: Minimum 10 years' leadership experience in maintenance roles within mining or heavy industries.Certificate III or higher in Engineering (Maintenance/Fixed or Mobile Plant Mechanic).ICAM training, S123 certification, and a valid driver's license.Proficient in MS Windows suite; experience with Baseplan (desirable).Trade Background and Project Management experience highly desired.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities: Safety & Compliance:Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits.Implement and uphold workplace safety, environmental, and quality standards.Lead safety initiatives, including JSEA implementation and toolbox meetings.Leadership & Team Management:Coach, mentor, and develop a collaborative team culture.Oversee team performance and ensure operational goals are met.Maintenance Operations:Manage the maintenance of mobile plant and equipment, ensuring efficiency and reliability.Develop and implement short- and long-term maintenance programs.Maintain accurate records of plant servicing and compliance.Cost Management & Planning:Monitor and control maintenance budgets and resources.Use cost control data to forecast and plan effectively.Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management:Manage subcontractor agreements and ensure safety and quality compliance.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project success.If you're a maintenance leader looking for your next challenge, we'd love to hear from you.
