Based in Sydney, this role will see you utilising your experience leading multi-disciplinary projects, including all design services, to lead projects across a range of markets, primarily the Mission Critical sector.In this role, we'll count on you to:Function as a multi-disciplinary Project Lead and take responsibility for production on projects as well as management responsibilities.Lead multi-disciplinary projects including all design services.Direct and coordinate work throughout the project's lifecycle (from development & initiation to close-out).Take administrative responsibility for section staff and technical service functions, and lead and coordinate services with other sections.Support daily operations of construction projects, such as providing engineering expertise and project oversight, managing project quality control and quality assurance for assigned construction projects, managing inspection services, monitoring required construction training certification status and safety requirements, and managing project staff.See that all work is planned, organised, controlled and evaluated through proactive project management system.Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently.Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule.Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews.Implement QA/QC procedures.Work cooperatively with National Directors and marketing staff in local and national marketing and production efforts.Maintain excellent client relationships and contribute to developing new business opportunities.Contribute to international projects where required/available.Perform other duties as needed.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent.10+ years related experience.Strong communication and active-listening skills.MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be an advantage).Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for it's also about what you do and how you do it.
