8 days ago, from Institute of Data Australia Steak Mining is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Lead to spearhead our expansion into new small-scale mining projects. This role is pivotal in identifying, developing, and overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring profitability and sustainability.
As our first hire in this capacity, you will set the operational tone for future project management within the company.
Key Responsibilities: Project Identification: Research and identify potential small-scale mining and construction opportunities.Project Management: Develop project plans detailing scope, timelines, resources, and budget.Lead the execution of mining and civil projects, coordinating with various stakeholders including local communities, regulatory bodies, and subcontractors.Oversee compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards.Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.Negotiate terms with key stakeholders and potential partners.Financial Oversight: Manage budgets for each project, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.Monitor project financial performance against projections, making adjustments as necessary.Team Leadership: Initially, this role will involve solo project management and contractor management, but as the company grows, you will be expected to build and lead a team.Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on project statuses, including progress reports, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.Experience: Minimum of 12 months in project management within the mining or related industries.Proven track record of successfully leading mining projects from inception to completion.Knowledge of mining operations, including both technical and regulatory aspects.Skills: Strong project management skills with experience in managing budgets, timelines, and resources.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.Proficient in risk management and strategic planning.Ability to work independently and make decisive decisions.Other Qualifications: Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.Strong commitment to sustainability and ethical mining practices.What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunity to grow with a forward-thinking company at the cutting edge of sustainable mining practices.A role that offers significant impact on the company's direction and community relations.Salary range $80,000-$100,000 plus a significant bonus based on annual profit (Possibly exceeding $100,000 per annum).Application Process: Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter detailing their experience with small-scale mining projects, and references to @steakmining.com.
