As a result of our continued growth and work-in-hand, Georgiou is seeking a Project HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will be expected to lead a team of HSE advisors on an exciting infrastructure and rail project.
The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, leadership skills, and regulatory understanding within the construction industry based on but not limited to the following:
Leadership and Training: Good interpersonal skills and experience in leading safety training sessions, conducting audits, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement among staff and subcontractors.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local and national safety regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards specific to rail and infrastructure projects in West Australia.Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate HSE policies and procedures to diverse team, ensuring compliance and promoting a safety culture.Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with construction activities and operational procedures.Incident Investigation: Skills in investigating incidents, analysing root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.Environmental Management: Knowledge of environmental impact assessments and sustainable practices.Data Analysis: Competence in systems and process management in order to analyse HSE data to track performance and identify areas for improvement.Emergency Response Planning: Development and implementation of emergency response plans tailored to the specific risks of the project.Aside from having relevant qualifications in HSE or related disciplines, ideally, you are a seasoned HSE Manager with extensive auditing and investigation experience in the construction, mining or engineering industry and:
Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE strategies.Thorough knowledge of AS/NZS ISO 14001, 45001 and OFSC requirements, as well as WH&S Act 2020 & WH&S Regulations 2022.Knowledge of other states' legislation in relation to WHS.To thrive in our team environment, you should have demonstrated examples to showcase your skillsets in Performance Management, Coaching, Developing Standards, Planning and Strategy, Process Improvement, Decision and Strategic Planning.
You are also a dynamic communicator who can build a strong relationship not only with stakeholders at all levels but also with our WA client/representatives.
