The Governance and Assurance Senior Consultant enhances SA Water's infrastructure projects' governance, enablement, and assurance practices by designing, implementing and managing effective supporting services, documentation and training for key stakeholders in the Sustainable Infrastructure business unit and across SA Water. This role ensures compliance with corporate policies and regulatory standards, develops and reviews critical documentation, contributes to process improvement and leads training initiatives to integrate best practices across the organisation. The goal is to support high-quality, efficient, and compliant operations that align with SA Water's strategic objectives.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Develop, improve and implement a tailored approach for the Asset Planning to Delivery lifecycle and associated processes, workflows, user guides, and templates that align with and support the achievement of SA Water's strategic goals. Create, review, and update comprehensive governance documentation, including policies, procedures, and reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards. Manage the preparation and submission of internal and external reports while collaborating with Project Managers to ensure comprehensive and accurate reporting. Perform assurance audits on projects and programs within the Asset Management and Capital Delivery portfolio, focusing on compliance and quality in Risk, Issue, and Change Management. Serve as the primary custodian for Sustainable Infrastructure capital project and program management procedures, ensuring that all work practices, documentation, and processes are well-organized, up-to-date, and accessible. Develop, update, and manage the suite of Project management training and development modules, ensuring they align with best practices and industry standards to promote continuous improvement and relevance. Your success in this role will come from:
Tertiary qualifications in Business Management, Project Management, Risk Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Demonstrated experience in project management. Demonstrated experience in the preparation and facilitation of workshops and training. Demonstrated experience in change management including the ability to communicate with influence, build rapport and convey messages and ideas that involve new or changes to existing processes.
