We're currently seeking a driven and strategic Project Governance Advisor to join our Project Governance Team.
Lake Macquarie City Council operates a centralised project governance function to oversee organisation wide project management activities of 350+ Project Managers and framework users, delivering over 250+ projects annually. As a Project Governance Advisor, you will develop and manage the project management framework (PMF) that supports these users and their activities. In this role, you will set the direction for quality project management based on your knowledge of industry best practice and your experience in project delivery. You will work closely with department managers, leaders, and key stakeholders, to influence the standard of project management supporting skills development, providing insights, conducting issues analysis, and delivering comprehensive reporting on both operational performance and program outcomes.
You will also provide administration of Council's bespoke corporate project management software and ensure its seamless integration with strategic objectives across corporate planning, capital works, finance, and risk management functions. You'll help drive a cultural shift toward embedding the new framework and project management practices into our organisation.

With extensive hands-on experience in managing projects and programs, you are comfortable taking initiative, working autonomously, and organizing multiple tasks to drive success. Your flexibility and adaptability allow you to adjust to changing circumstances while maintaining focus on achieving outcomes.
