Project Exploration Geologist

Oil & Gas - Exploration & Geoscience (Mining, Resources & Energy)Our client is a fast growing, Australian listed mineral exploration company who are dedicated to discovering and developing mineral deposits.
They are best known for their flagship gold project, located near Leonora in Western Australia which they seek to expand and advance through the various mining stages.The RoleReporting to the Exploration Manager/Senior Geologist, the Project Geologist will assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating drilling and other field activities related to exploration programs.
The successful candidate will also plan, organize, and manage programs, interpret results, and provide valuable input into ongoing target generation.Key Responsibilities:Monitor the daily progress of exploration activities, including drilling, and consult with superiors as needed.Assist senior colleagues in preparing budgets and exploration programs, ensuring alignment with budget requirements.Compile data and text for periodic reports (weekly, monthly, and occasionally quarterly or annual) and special reports (e.g., Ore Reserve), delivering completed reports.Generate targets by analyzing and interpreting stratigraphy, structure, geochemistry, and geophysics, among other factors.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will hold a degree in Geology, preferably with Honours, and have over two years of experience in exploration and geology.
They should be proficient in geographical information systems such as QGIS.
