Project Engineer - Solar Installation

About the company/role: Our client, a leading global environmental organisation, is seeking a Solar Installation Project Engineer to join their team on the Gold Coast.
This is 6-month position with a strong likelihood of extension, and the role is set to start immediately!
In this role, you will support solar energy installation projects on-site.
You will be part of a prestigious organisation known for its world-class services and expertise, boasting over 40 years of experience in water, waste, and energy management.
Duties: Oversee solar panel installation projects, ensuring safe and efficient operations in an industrial environment, while providing guidance on renewals and maintenance.
Deliver assigned projects within budget and on schedule, ensuring the safe completion of all phases.
Identify, manage updates, and issue controlled versions of all documentation that require modifications due to project changes (including drawings, manuals, and operational procedures).
Collaborate with personnel from operations, maintenance, procurement, and asset management teams to ensure successful project initiation and implementation.
Manage subcontractors and consultants to achieve project outcomes.
Skills/experience: Qualification in engineering, electrical, and/or project management.
Extensive experience in project delivery within the water, mining, or manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of industrial LV/HV electrical equipment.
Experience in the installation of large-scale industrial solar systems is highly desirable.
Proficiency in the Google suite of programs (Google Docs and Google Sheets).
Previous experience in the utilities, manufacturing, or oil & gas sectors.
