Our client is a leading company within the utilities industry, who is looking for a Senior Project Engineer or Mid-Level. The purpose of this position is to oversee the full lifecycle of a project (and ECP contract) including the design phase where you will provide engineering expertise for Overhead, Underground Distribution, zone & transmission substation design projects. This role will also provide detailed assistance in bid preparation, delivery, and assistance with business development.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering and design management services across the internal and external business.Effectively manage the design project team, set clear objectives, and ensure efficient use of resources.Effectively manage bid risks, time restrictions, and client expectations.Consider the commercial/financial implications of all aspects in the provision of products and services to customers in order to maximise profit margins.Drive improvement initiatives across projects.Provide mentoring to junior and senior staff in all elements of project engineering and design management.Key RequirementsThe role requires a detailed knowledge of the concepts and principles of project management.Previous experience working on MV-HV substations projects.Proven ability to manage EPC contracts.Knowledge and experience in station and/or line design principles and procedures for distribution and transmission voltages.Tractions experience desirable.Previous experience managing several significant diverse projects simultaneously.Knowledge of bid and business development and project scoping processes.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.BenefitsStrong career opportunities.Regular bonus on top of your salary package.Work for a leader in the industry alongside a stable, mature, well-structured team.If you would like to know more, please contact Milly Kerei-Keepa at ****** / 0476865411 or hit Apply Now.
