Project Overview: Queensland Government-owned corporation, Sunwater is planning for the construction of a new dam wall immediately downstream from the existing Paradise Dam on the Burnett River. The project is a large, multi-year project that will ensure a safe and secure water supply for the Bundaberg region for future generations. This role is part of the Paradise Alliance, formed by Sunwater to deliver the Paradise Dam Improvement Project, with CPB Contractors / Georgiou appointed as major construction partner and GHD as the ongoing design partner. CPB Contractors are currently looking for an experienced Project Engineers to join the team based in the office in Fortitude Valley.
Key Responsibilities: Interpreting, planning, coordinating and administering construction engineering activities in line with the project documentation. Assisting the Senior Project Engineer in preparing accurate monthly reports. Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions. Active management and liaising with site-based personnel, subcontractors and stakeholders. Requirements for this role:
Recognised Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or Construction Management. Previous experience as a Project Engineer working on large scale projects with a tier 1 company. Previous experience in RCC – Roller Compacted Concrete experience, TMR, concrete formwork highly regarded. Proven commercial experience in forecasting and budget management, EOM Process and cost tracking skills.
