About the role
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer with LV experience to form a key part of our public infrastructure project based in Armadale, Perth. This role will focus on coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to achieve project time, quality, and budget objectives safely.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the design, construction, installation and commissioning of low voltage electrical systems on new infrastructure. This includes electrical systems in station buildings, structures, and any associated facilities or systems required for the operation of the railway.
Contribute to the achievement of Laing O'Rourke's safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and environmentally conscious working practices.
Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities of the project to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications.
Provide project engineering support to the construction teams to facilitate the construction process.
Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress.
Direct interface with the construction crews to collect data on information required for project status, cost reporting, and forecasting.
Support the site construction crews with developing and communicating work packages.
Assist with technical queries.
Provide direction and supervision for Site Engineers, as required.

You will have

A degree qualification in Engineering (Electrical) along with experience having worked as a Project Engineer for Tier 1 Construction Contractors.
Experience with services on complex building projects with top-tier contractors.
A strong commercial acumen.
A collaborative approach with proven ability to work effectively in a team.
Strong problem solving, organisational, and communication skills.
A high attention to detail.
