You may have been part of some big projects before, but this work is legacy-building.Your skills will be instrumental in designing and delivering cutting-edge solutions that enhance mobility, sustainability, and safety for millions of people.In this role, you'll:Work as part of a team delivering road and infrastructure projects and maintenance.
You will support the local community and provide smart civil engineering solutions to challenges which are unique to the Snowy Monaro region.
This role will provide you with a solid platform to continue to grow your career as you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects you work on.You will lead the delivery of a variety of projects ranging from snow clearing operations in the Winter to maintenance and construction works on the Monaro and Snowy Mountains Highways in the warmer months.This is an ongoing full-time role located at Cooma.This position involves project delivery, site work, and travel across the Snowy Monaro region, and at times you will be required to work away from home in order to deliver remote projects.We take WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously; therefore, to be successful in this role, it is a requirement that you must reside within a reasonable distance from your identified Headquarters/depot.Transport has flexible working arrangements in place; however, as this is a delivery-focused role responsible for leading teams, you will need to be available to work from other locations within the region.
The role is predominantly an onsite-based role but with flexibility for hybrid a half day per week, depending on business requirements.About youYour civil engineering skills in roads, pavements, and earthworks will see you excel in the development and delivery of sustainable solutions for the local community.You have experience in the preparation of competitive and accurate estimates, job programs, project delivery briefs, and WH&S management plans, quality, environmental, and traffic management plans for assigned projects.You are a self-starter and able to work autonomously whilst assisting in the supervision of a large direct controlled workforce.You have project management skills and knowledge of computer-based tools and techniques for project and information management.You will be a proactive and solutions-focused thinker and possess high-level communication skills.
