Job Opportunity: Project Engineer (Transmission and Substations) On behalf of my client, a leader in sustainable energy infrastructure, I am seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support the tendering and delivery of multiple projects across Transmission and Substations. This role offers a chance to take the lead on technical aspects and manage the delivery of large, complex projects across Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Foster a strong safety culture by identifying risks, chairing safety meetings, and contributing to HSE documentation.Scope Management: Define and oversee project scopes, assess changes, and provide technical expertise to maintain focus and avoid scope creep.Contracts and Procurement: Manage subcontracts, develop procurement strategies, lead vendor assessments, and oversee claims.Time and Quality Management: Develop project schedules, identify efficiency improvements, and ensure adherence to quality standards.Risk and Opportunity Management: Facilitate risk workshops, develop mitigation strategies, and leverage opportunities for project enhancements.Cost and Integration Management: Track project progress, maintain accurate cost records, lead meetings, and ensure thorough documentation.Stakeholder and Communication Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors, establish clear communication protocols, and guide team communication best practices.Ideal Candidate Profile Skills & Qualifications:Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in MS Office and relevant software like AutoCAD 2D.Technical qualifications in engineering, with experience in battery, power generation, and transmission.Knowledge of HSEQ processes, time, and cost management.Experience:5+ years in project engineering with a background in all aspects of project delivery.Prior experience with Transmission and Substations projects is highly advantageous.Client-focused approach, collaborative mindset, a drive for continuous improvement, and strong decision-making abilities.High organizational and leadership skills to effectively support and develop teams.Why Consider This Opportunity?
