Electrical Degree, Project Management and Substation project experience for this 12-month contract role.
We are looking for a Projects based Electrical Engineer to support the team to provide analysis and support to concurrent projects. This role will assist in developing processes for detailed engineering management and support project delivery. This role is a great opportunity for a flexible and highly organized individual who has exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills on a contract basis.
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager and working with a diverse team within the asset management team, you will be:
Role Requirements:Maintain budgetary, scheduling, and project reporting oversight, and report regularly to the project manager to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans, and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules.Determine project specifications and acquire the necessary materials for completion.Demonstrate a high-level technical understanding relevant to the role.Coordinate design responses for construction and apply technical knowledge to analyze construction issues.Provide support and assistance to various stakeholders to meet project program and coordinate and manage the designs in accordance with appropriate standards.Manage the execution of all phases of all directly assigned projects to achieve completion within agreed budget, time, and accepted quality standards.Experience:Tertiary qualifications at degree level in electrical engineering on large scale complex projects.High Voltage and experience with Substations or Transmission line assets.Strong understanding of project management systems, program administration, and reporting in a capital-intensive industry.Working knowledge of corporate IT systems including a detailed knowledge of Computer management systems.Interpersonal skills (including written and oral communication), which will facilitate the achievement of maintenance and project objectives.Awareness of regulatory, safety, and environmental compliance requirements relating to the construction and maintenance of high voltage equipment.Ability to analyze technical drawings, wiring diagrams, technical reports, test reports, contracts, agreements, and quotations.Like to know more?
