We are looking for a Project Engineer to join the Project Delivery Team based between our Pyrmont Office and your allocated project site. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting both the Site Manager and Project Manager in both site and project delivery.
As the Project Engineer, you will:
Assist with the tender process as required. Assist with project planning at handover of tender, including defining trade works scopes, budgets, and timelines. Coordinate with the project team, consultants, and subcontractors to manage design development and ensure that design specifications are met. Prepare project methodologies and construction programmes, ensuring alignment with the overall project plan. Provide technical oversight during project delivery to ensure compliance with CIP IMS systems and client requirements. Provide technical advice and troubleshoot engineering-related issues that arise during construction. Assist with overseeing daily operations on-site to ensure construction activities align with project plans. Identify cost-saving opportunities during the project's execution while maintaining quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to assess workmanship and material quality. Identify and rectify any non-conformance issues or defects early in the construction process. Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing updates on project progress. Collaborate with clients to ensure their requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders, including government authorities for permits and approvals. As the ideal applicant you will be:
Tertiary qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Quantity Surveying or trade qualified with significant construction experience. Significant experience in delivering industrial warehouse projects of $20m+ value. Demonstrated knowledge of construction methodology, project management principles and project delivery methods.
