As a Project Engineer, you will manage and coordinate projects efficiently, ensuring it exceeds the project parameters for time, cost, customer satisfaction, quality, and HSE. The role is based in the CBD and working on a $600mil premium grade office tower with a project completion in 2027.
Your responsibilities will include: Overall coordination and responsible for activities and tasks associated with the development of overall planning and programming.Provide instruction and guidance where applicable.Preparation and monitoring of overall short and mid-range design construction and procurement programmes and schedules.Develop and manage production-planning schedule to allocated disciplines.Establish and monitor the procurement program.Construction team interface with design team on programming and procurement issues.Ensure coordination of all programs and review same.Manage, implement and monitor programming control procedures.Manage and monitor quality assurance procedures.Establish on site controls and recording procedures for delays.Supervision and monitoring of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with the project documentation, and hse and quality requirements.Have a strong understanding of the company's systems and controls and implement in day to day operations.Subcontract management and subcontract administration, including assistance in preparation of monthly final forecast cost estimates (ffc's) for trade packages. review of major variation and monthly trade ffc's with project team.Assist in procurement of subcontractors and suppliers within discipline(s) by: review of tender design; preparation of scope and technical documentation; preparation of s/c tender list; management of tender process; vetting and recommending tenders; and engaging subcontractors.Implement and maintain production controls relevant to the discipline(s), to ensure the project works comply with programme, hse and quality requirements and constraints.Understand and assist in monitoring the project HSE plan, environmental management plan and traffic management plan.Implement Mirvac standard processes and site disciplines, to fully understand procurement, design and delivery processes. Your point of difference To be successful you must have a minimum 3-5 years' site/project engineering experience coupled with a relevant degree in construction/engineering/project management.
You will have the ability to read and understand the project documentation including plans and specifications as well as the civil engineering and landscape delivery fundamentals.
