Play a central role in the construction of a Utility Scaled Battery Project Supportive and inclusive workplace fostering strong collaboration Attractive hybrid work model | Energy Discounts | Career Growth Opportunities Your part in it The project Engineer oversees the management of Contractors responsible for the design, procurement, and construction of connection infrastructure for our battery sites, as well as the management of Suppliers providing battery and inverter technology. The individual in this role will ensure that Contractors and Suppliers meet the Principal's Project Requirements and adhere to the approved project schedule. Additionally, they will advocate for the safe execution of major projects and ensure the quality of all project deliverables.
What you'll put into it Oversee the Design and Construct (D&C) Contractor during the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) phase to implement a value engineering approach that aligns with the project. Ensure that the work of the D&C Contractors and Suppliers meets the requirements of both internal and external stakeholders, including customers and financiers. Ensure the project is delivered safely, meets the required quality standards, and is completed on time and within budget. Prepare and present project reports to stakeholders that detail the progress of the Contractors and Suppliers. Identify project risks and manage on an ongoing basis throughout project delivery. What you'll bring to it Have a strong commitment to contributing to the decarbonisation of the Australian electricity industry. Tertiary qualifications in Electrical engineering. Prior experience in utility-scale design, construction, maintenance, engineering, or project management. Experience constructing utility scale battery systems including working with inverters. Proven and extensive engineering or consulting experience within the power generation industry is desirable.
