Our Client
Our client is a large manufacturing business with a proven history of building strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and local communities.
They have seen consistent growth over recent years as a result of the consistent quality of their products and service.

Role
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role of the Project Engineer is to contribute to the development and preparation of capital projects on site.
This includes budget preparation, executive presentation, and equipment recommendations.
The Project Engineer is also responsible for the management of medium-large projects and mentoring of site project engineers.

As Project Engineer, it is critical for this position to provide best-in-class expertise in Project Management, working closely on CAPEX projects with a variety of stakeholders including regional engineering leadership, production, quality, and maintenance; while maintaining the business's high safety standards.

Key responsibilities include:
Supervision of line installation, carrying out commissioning works and handover to operations, ensuring that training of the appropriate staff in all aspects of operation and maintenance of the equipment has been undertaken.
Closely manage the project schedule and cost to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Develop capital budgets and equipment recommendations for projects.
Liaising cross-functionally with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering divisions to ensure projects within plant operations are resolved smoothly with minimal impact on production.
Provide safety leadership and positive influence across the site.
Actively support site initiatives in line with business programs including community initiatives and responsible, environmentally friendly waste programs.
Liaise with regional engineering leadership for regional capital planning to ensure projects are developed using the latest global best practices and standards.
Skills Required
Degree qualified in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering.
2-3+ years' experience within a project engineering position within the food manufacturing industry.
The ability to lead others in a team environment, including leading project initiatives and sharing knowledge and experiences.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with different stakeholders.
