Local, FIFO & DIDO projects - Central Queensland Civil infrastructure on mining projects & local council work Rockhampton based work & surrounding regions A fantastic opportunity with a privately owned civil engineering construction company who work within resources, local authorities and main roads projects across North & Central QLD.
Led by a team of highly skilled professionals within the industry, this contractor is experienced across multiple disciplines including roads, earthworks, drainage and concrete structures with a long history in the industry.
Initially in the office with the anticipation of heading out to projects consisting of civil infrastructure, concrete/structures and roadworks for local Councils, TMR & Mining authorities across Central QLD.
This is a great opportunity for a Project Engineer with exposure and responsibilities towards project management.
To be successful you must be eager and willing to travel, as well as have a proven track record of delivering civil works for contractors in similar conditions.
Your role will be supporting the Project Manager in the day to day running of the site including the following responsibilities:
Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers Programming and daily planning Quality Assurance management Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders Assisting with preparation of financial reports and completing forecasts Ensuring Safety and Environmental standards are met The successful individual must have at least 4 years local civil infrastructure experience, a proven track record of delivering roads, earthworks, drainage with a civil contractor in similar conditions.
In this role, you will require exceptional planning and organisational skills, cost awareness and forecasting ability, preferably working on Qld Department of Main Roads contracts.
Initially this is a local opportunity in Rockhampton with the expectation to travel to projects on DIDO rosters.
