Project Engineer

First Task Professional are delighted to be working alongside a contractor who have several requirements for the delivery of major power transmission & distribution projects across Scotland over the next 5 years.The contractor have an excellent reputation for delivering projects from £10m-£1bn+ across both the public and private sectors.They are currently seeking a Civils biased Project Engineer for the delivery of a major transmission line upgrade (£100m+) in the highlands of Scotland.Why join them?Basic salary up to £63,000 DOEGenerous subsistence package & AccommodationCompany CarPrivate Healthcare, Enhanced pension and Holiday EntitlementsWhat do they need?Manage site engineering tasks, including roadworks, trenching, HDDs, backfilling, and site restoration for cable projects.Collaborate with subcontractors and teams to align civil works with project goals.Perform technical and environmental site evaluations.Promote and enforce safety standards in challenging environments.Ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.Communicate progress, risks, and key milestones to stakeholders.RequirementsQualification in Civil Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree) or relevant experience in Utilities/Construction.Knowledge of budgets, financial control, and commercial practices.Familiarity with Project Management methodologies.Valid UK Driving Licence with flexibility to travel.Get in touch with Gregor Devlin at First Task Professional for more info.
