Do you want to deliver community-enhancing projects that enable more people to walk, wheel and ride as part of their everyday journeys and experiences?
We are seeking a motivated, strategic and experienced Project Engineer to lead the planning, design and delivery of critical active transport projects across Perth. The Active Transport branch delivers behaviour change and built environment initiatives to help make walking, wheeling and riding an easy choice for more people, more often across WA.
Our team works in collaboration with local government, Transport Portfolio partners and other stakeholders to deliver comfortable and connected active transport networks for people of all ages and abilities.
We also implement a range of community based behaviour change projects and programs under the Your Move banner and lead implementation of WA's Active Travel to School Roadmap.
Our ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with experience in project managing, developing and/or delivering infrastructure projects.
We need someone with well-developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills, who is comfortable and confident working with diverse stakeholders and project partners.
You will thrive on projects that require problem-solving and different ways of thinking and have the ability to develop and implement innovative solutions.
A can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team environment will be essential, along with well-developed analysis skills and a collaborative mindset.
