About this Position: An opportunity exists within the Council's Flood Restoration Portfolio for a Project Engineer to join our supportive and collaborative team.
Your focus will be to ensure the effective planning, documentation, and delivery of minor civil infrastructure projects.
This position's primary focus will be delivering the Flood Resilience Program, including major stormwater and pump station projects.
As a Project Engineer, you will work closely with our Portfolio team, broader Council, customers, and subcontractors to ensure the management and completion of civil projects.
You will support the project teams in reviewing and updating project status and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

What We Trust You to Deliver: Work closely with the on-site project team to ensure timely delivery of projects from a cost and time perspective.
Manage construction planning and programming.
Significant input in implementing & managing project Quality Systems and ITPs.
Major procurement, quote requests & supplier management.
Subcontractor management.
Cost tracking, monthly progress claims, and reporting.
Managing and guiding junior Engineers.
Maintain and apply all relevant standards and policies.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
What You Will Need to Be Successful: As a successful candidate, you will have knowledge and experience in applying civil construction and project management principles and practices.
Skills and/or knowledge in managing time, setting priorities, contract administration, project management, and a robust stakeholder engagement focus are all required for this role.
In this role, you will join our Flood Resilience Program and be responsible for successfully completing projects as part of that team.
Your tasks and responsibilities within the team will include the following: Coordinating daily activities and serving as a point of escalation for critical and non-critical events.
Demonstrating a strong commitment to safety and understanding WHS best practices.
Assisting in maintaining project programs, schedules, and documentation.
Liaising with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers.
Providing consistent project and cost reporting.
