Reporting to the Manager, Systems Integration, this role works as part of our national projects team to implement client and internal projects across APAC and locally. This role offers lots of WFH flexibility to best suit the candidate's productivity needs along with business needs. This role is supported by sales, presales, project managers and our extension team of IT professionals.
This role is full time (38 hours) Monday to Friday, with overtime being paid at penalty rates.
The primary role of the Project Engineer is to lead and support technical projects for clients, including remedial maintenance on infrastructure, LAN and WAN networks, and the implementation of new projects. This role also serves as an escalation point in areas of expertise.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and support the implementation of technical projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.Provide remote and onsite support for client environments during project execution.Prepare project documentation, including assumptions, scope of works, functional specifications, implementation planning, and deliverables.Test, diagnose, repair, configure, and upgrade hardware and associated IT equipment on client environments.Troubleshoot, analyse, and identify hardware and network system faults, evaluate alternative solutions, and implement the solution process.Act as an escalation point and provide guidance to junior team members.Work closely with clients to understand their technical requirements and business needs.Recommend and assist with the selection of relevant technologies and products for projects.Perform detailed requirements capture and analysis for infrastructure solutions, utilizing and integrating existing product suites.Develop high-level and low-level design documentation for projects and network infrastructure.Assist in solution architecture and design where required.Develop and maintain technical procedure and system documentation for supported architectures.Liaise with vendors and stakeholders as required to ensure project success.Provide support to the sales team, including content for quotes, proposals, and tender responses.Complying with Change Management processes.Installing and configuring management tooling.Proactively improve and automate technical procedures.Document daily activities accurately and timely through the mandated time sheeting system.Perform analysis and testing, making recommendations as a technical expert.Monitor and review daily logs, creating incident tasks where action is required.Ensure equipment configuration, error logs, and code levels are within set specifications.Who we are looking for We are looking for someone who has the following:
