Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our clients team for large civil projects in Newcastle, NSW. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and delivering complex civil infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the planning, design, and execution of large civil projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and specifications.Technical Input: Provide technical expertise and engineering solutions throughout the project lifecycle, including design, construction, and maintenance phases.Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all work meets the required standards and specifications.Safety Management: Ensure all project activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety on-site.Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project.Procurement: Manage procurement activities, including preparing scopes of work, evaluating bids, and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors.Reporting: Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management and clients.Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve project-related issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on large infrastructure projects.Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality standards in the construction industry.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required.Benefits: Competitive contract-based compensation.Opportunity to work on high-profile civil projects with a nationally recognized contractor.Professional development and career growth opportunities.Collaborative and supportive work environment.Application Process: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and qualifications.
