As a result of Georgiou's significant growth after securing the Hexham Straight Widening project, we are seeking a Project Engineer (civil scope) to be apart of our success and make a valuable contribution to this major infrastructure upgrade in the Hunter region. Aside from being a part of a $2.1 billion development, The six-kilometer upgrade of the Pacific Highway near Newcastle will involve widening each carriageway from 2 lanes to 3, as well as constructing two new 5-span plank bridges over Ironbark Creek, adjacent to the Hunter River.
You will be trusted to:
Project Planning: Develop short-term programs, coordinate project tasks, and ensure milestones are met to keep the project on schedule.Progress Monitoring: Continuously track project progress, report on key performance indicators, and propose corrective actions when necessary to maintain project alignment with the contractual schedule.Financial Oversight: Review project financial outcomes, meticulously manage short-term cost controls, and optimize resource allocation for efficient project delivery.Team Support: Provide daily support and supervision to field operations, ensuring work complies with quality and safety standards, and foster a culture of excellence in project outcomes.Contract Administration: Oversee daily contract requirements, including the fulfillment of contractual obligations. Collaborate in the negotiation and management of subcontractor and supply agreements to ensure productive and effective project partnerships.What you're good at: To excel in this role, you should:
Hold relevant civil engineering qualifications and demonstrate similar experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projectsPossess more than just knowledge; you have the capability to manage and oversee project sections effectively.To thrive in our dynamic team environment, we're on the lookout for candidates who not only excel in contract administration and negotiation but also have the charisma to lead, motivate, and inspire others to achieve project success.
Your application will be prioritised (although not mandatory) if you are able to demonstrate:
Solid knowledge of RMS/TfNSW specsExperience working in a Tier 1/2 or principal contractor's environmentOur engineering team is innovative, always ready for a laugh and willing to go out of their way to help each other and drive positive project outcomes.
