Your responsibilities will include overseeing the construction, maintenance, and planning of the Shire's physical infrastructure.As the Project Engineer, you will apply your professional expertise to manage and maintain existing infrastructure assets. Additionally, you will support the implementation of engineering projects in coordination with the Director of Engineering, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of Road Maintenance Council Contracts (RMCC) works and other ordered works programs. This role involves close collaboration with Transport for NSW (TfNSW).You will also play a vital role in identifying, planning, designing and managing new infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet standards, budget constraints and project timelines.ABOUT YOUTo be considered, you should have experience applying technical engineering concepts and practices, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects that involve coordinating people and resources. You bring strong motivation and organisational skills, with a focus on system-driven approaches.As the Project Engineer, you will establish credibility as a technical expert by demonstrating a thorough understanding of legislation, regulations, design standards, and codes of practice relevant to infrastructure construction, maintenance and public asset management.Your proven interpersonal skills will support in leading and motivating staff in different teams/locations, whilst your persuasive skills will be required to resolve problems or provide specialised advice. You will have a demonstrated ability to work within multifunctional areas throughout the Engineering Services of Council.
