Project Engineer

Perfect Contracting are looking for a new team member. The hunt is on for a Project Engineer to jump on board and give a helping hand.This person will report directly to the Senior Project Manager and assist the team in the day-to-day running of projects.After an initial orientation period, the individual will put their 'can do attitude' into action and become an integral part of the delivery line-up.This role will contribute directly to the success of our projects and will align with the company's values and commitment to safety.Who are we and what do we do?Perfect Contracting is an industry-leading construction and demolition contractor, working within the commercial, industrial, and government sectors predominately throughout NSW. "We get it done!"What do we need from YOU?Assistance to develop and maintain positive relationships with our clients, liaising and ensuring clear communication with all project stakeholders.Provide technical advice, support, and a proactive problem-solving approach.Accurate project budgeting and forecasting.A commitment to safety, compliance, and management of all project documentation, in line with Perfect's Integrated Management System.Assist the team to ensure the work is on schedule and the site is safely managed.Any changes in scope are recorded and costed accordingly.Manage the company's safety systems at a project level, always maintaining a focus on the safety of all individuals on site.Where needed, contribute with tender and contract negotiation working closely with estimators and the bid manager as necessary.Help to prepare site investigation reports, demolition designs, and management plans, and facilitate verification through third-party consultants.Most of all, we need the person to demonstrate Perfect Contracting's core values:Safety at work.Punctuality & honesty.Strong team mentality.Who are you?3+ years' experience working in Construction/Demolition/Remediation project delivery.Experience in Civil Engineering.Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering required, and preferably also in Project Management.Extensive knowledge of the engineering industry and Australian Standards.Experience in contract administration and management.Proficient in project management software, ERP systems, and platforms.What will you bring to the party?Leader and manager of teams.Someone with positive energy and assertiveness.A motivated individual that can manage their own time.Someone that's occasionally happy to travel regionally for work.
