The ACEREZ consortium, which includes the ACCIONA COBRA Joint Venture (ACJV), has been appointed Preferred Proponent to design and construct the transmission line infrastructure for the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (CWO REZ), as part of Australia's energy transition, outlined in the NSW Electricity Infrastructure Roadmap.
The new transmission infrastructure, which will combine high-capacity transmission lines, energy hubs and related infrastructure, will enable generators such as solar and wind farms and energy storage providers in the CWO REZ to connect to the electricity grid, providing a reliable supply of clean, affordable electricity for households and businesses across NSW while helping to meet the state's newly legislated Net Zero targets.

Our Central-West Orana project is currently seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to share their expertise within our growing Project Wide team. You will be responsible for assisting the Senior Project Engineer with the coordination and control of engineering works for the project. This is an essential role that ensures the safe and successful completion of the project on schedule, within budget and to the specified quality. 
Key Responsibilities Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure all project quality and environmental aspects meet ACEREZ D&C standards. Monitor subcontractors' performance, manage non-conformances, and oversee defect resolution. Safety Management: Implement and adhere to the project safety plan, conduct risk assessments, and manage incident reporting and prevention. Operational Planning: Support planning and design, monitor construction methods, and ensure effective use of resources and systems throughout the project lifecycle. Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate project documentation and facilitate effective communication between engineers, site supervisors, consultants, and subcontractors. Resource Coordination: Supervise and coordinate resource allocation, ensuring teamwork and positive attitudes toward achieving project objectives. Scheduling & Reporting: Maintain a 4-week look-ahead schedule, monitor project progress, and prepare status reports and change orders. Financial Management: Manage cost control, forecast risks and opportunities, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with budget and contractual obligations. Innovation & Improvement: Promote new construction techniques to improve cost and safety, challenge team ideas, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Quality Assurance: Strong understanding of quality control processes and ability to ensure compliance with project standards. Safety Expertise: Knowledge of HSE policies, incident prevention, and risk management techniques. Project Planning: Proficiency in planning and design, construction methods, and resource management. Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining documentation. Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor site personnel, fostering positive team dynamics and effective collaboration. Time Management: Capability to maintain project schedules, coordinate activities, and resolve issues promptly. Financial Acumen: Strong financial management skills, including cost control, budgeting, and forecasting. Innovative Thinking: Ability to encourage innovation, promote new techniques, and challenge the team to improve project outcomes. Minimum Qualifications & Skills Preferable 5 years' experience within Construction/Engineering. Bachelor's degree (Engineering or other relevant). Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others. Presented problem solving / analytical skills. Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of same. Competent with cost control of projects. High attention to detail. Based in Mudgee this role offers accommodation provided by the project and operates on a roster basis.
