Job Description BESIX Watpac are seeking a Project Engineer to join our South-East Queensland construction team. Based on a new-build correctional facility project in Woodford, this is a permanent role with a long term career opportunity across multi-disciplinary projects.
This role will be responsible for:
Prepare and monitor project management plans, systems and registers, as delegated by the Project Manager. Establish and monitor quality controls as per specifications and project management plans in addition to reporting variances and rectifying quality non-conformance. Identify and manage project resources, including materials handling equipment, for optimum productivity. Assist with cost management and reporting including preparation of project reports and registers. Review, revise, interpret and implement all requirements listed within works programming documentation to meet contractual requirements and to ensure efficiency and productivity. Assist the Site Manager with medium term planning and programming. Assist with health and safety incident and compliance reports, in accordance with the contractual requirements, government legislation and internal policies and procedures. Qualifications The incumbent in this role will require:
Tertiary or trade qualifications in Construction, Engineering or related discipline. Established experience in managing the delivery of building projects to completion. Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to lead a collaborative and effective project team.
