Insignia is a leading national distributor of industrial labelling and coding equipment with over 50 years' experience in the Australian packaging market. With multiple locations nationwide, insignia is widely recognised as experts in identification and traceability, and work with world-leading brands in thermal printing, barcoding, data capture, marking & coding. We are now seeking a Project Implementation Engineer to deliver identification and traceability coding equipment in manufacturing environments and ensure the highest of completion standards.
About the role Reporting to the National Project Manager, you will be responsible for scoping, installing, and commissioning insignia project solutions and ensuring high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Working in collaboration with the sales team, automation engineers, and project coordinators, you will ensure seamless project executions from inception of the initial solution through to hand-over of the equipment to the customer. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role which will see you deliver equipment solutions to insignia customers. You will receive in-house training on our products and equipment to ensure you are fully equipped to support our customers on-site.
As a Project Implementation Engineer , you will be responsible for:
Installing and commissioning electro/mechanical equipment. Working with the sales team to scope project solutions. Hands-on equipment preparation and pre-installation. Problem solving with customers on software-related faults. Monitor project execution and training. Ongoing training of production knowledge. About you The ideal candidate will have an electrical or mechanical trade qualification. Proven experience in a manufacturing or service-based industry. A high technical aptitude for electro/mechanical systems and software. Well-developed technical skill set, with some exposure to PLC or system integration.
