About the Role:With the company showing continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Environmental Services team in Western Australia, assisting ongoing decommissioning works at one of Australia's most significant Power Generating facilities at Kwinana, and other current and future projects.
Reporting to the SeniorProject Manager (SPM), your primary responsibility will be to assist the SPM in delivering the projects, implement practical application of technical skillsets, provide sound technical advice to the SPM, assist in the execution of projects, maintain a site presence (when required) and lead safety culture, and proactively report project progress.
This role is a full-time permanent opportunity with weekly pay and will be operate mostly at our Kwinana site office, Western Australia.
Work Type: Full TimeLocation: Perth, WAResponsibilities:Lead methodology design & review in conjunction with the Tier1 third party design engineer.Reviewing, documenting, analysing and planning the project with the Project ManagerActing as a technical lead for the project team and providing advice and leadership when requiredCompleting works in alignment with customer's specifications and requirementsEnsuring warranty and dispute claims for the project are addressed as soon as practical.Ensuring adherence to quality standards of the customers and the company are followedPerforming risks and hazards assessment to prevent incidents, injury and damageProviding engineering advice to relevant stakeholders as and we requiredOverviewing the entire project (within disciplines) from an engineering viewpoint while maintaining an open approach to all problemsCoach, support, motivate and develop a positive safety culture across the business in line with Safety Certainty 2.0 principles.About You:To be successful in the role, you will need:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil or Structural), Project Management, or Construction Management.Demonstrated years of experience as a Project Engineer, specific demolition & decommissioning experience, particularly in the felling of structures & critical lift design would be an advantage.Problem-solving and innovation skills.Construction White Card and Current driver's license.Ability to work as autonomously as well as a team player.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong commitment to Work Health & Safety and Environmental standards.Proficiency using Microsoft Office Applications.Experience in ERP software like Procore and Pronto or similar programs would be advantageous.Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol and Fit for work assessmentAbility to obtain DCSI and Defence clearance.Ability to travel based on project requirements.
