Work an attractive fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) roster from Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville or a drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) roster and take advantage of our top-class camp, or live local in the close-knit community of Cloncurry and be home every night.
This roster is 8/6 (days) and a 12-hour day.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, this position is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of electrical systems for mining projects.
This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and experience in the mining industry.
The Electrical Project Engineer will work closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure the electrical components of mining operations meet safety, regulatory, and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities Include: Leading electrical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and compliance with safety and quality standards.Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams for seamless integration of electrical systems into mining operations.Developing and reviewing electrical design packages, including power distribution, control systems, and automation, while identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency.Evaluating and selecting electrical equipment and technology in line with project requirements and industry advancements.Providing technical support during installation and commissioning, conducting site inspections, and resolving electrical issues.Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety in all electrical work.Preparing and managing project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and detailed technical documentation.Communicating effectively with stakeholders through updates, meetings, reports, and presentations.About You
The ideal candidate will hold an Engineering degree or equivalent with previous experience in electrical engineering within the mining or heavy industry sectors.
Your expertise should span electrical design, project management, and system integration, focusing on power distribution, control systems, automation, and instrumentation.
To be successful in this role, you must excel in stakeholder engagement, building strong relationships, and promoting collaboration across teams.
You should demonstrate strategic thinking and problem-solving skills and be able to effectively manage priorities to deliver work within time and resource constraints.
It is essential that you have strong written and oral communication abilities to support clear, impactful presentations and reporting.
