Our Cadia operation in projects, is now recruiting for the position of Project Engineer.
Operations near and far Cadia is located in Central Western New South Wales, approximately 25 kms outside the vibrant regional township of Orange and a convenient three hours from the capital city of Sydney.

Who we're looking for Reporting to the Project Engineering Lead, the Project Engineer will ensure successful planning and safe delivery of projects to agreed expectations & constraints as per approved Newmont Cadia Projects Pipeline and in accordance with Capital Budget commitments.
You will Provide Electrical, Instrumentation and Control (EIC) and Project Engineering discipline/expertise to the successful planning and execution of Projects in approved Capital Projects Pipeline from Initiation through to Close-out.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and have a high level of project engineering and project management capabilities with exposure to multi-disciplined Major or Sustaining Capital projects Technical Capabilities Required: Strong technical skills with knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) equipment operation, installation and commissioning, including electrical protection and safety in design aspects Experience with design and construction of electrical infrastructure, including ability to develop, read and review technical documentation such as scope of works, single line diagrams, electrical schematics, termination diagrams, loop diagrams, cable schedules, power system study reports, IO Lists, etc Familiarity with design documentation packages developed by engineering consultants, including ability to review documents mentioned above, along with process flow diagrams (PFD), piping and instrument diagrams (P&ID), process control philosophies and control system functional descriptions, protection study reports, equipment and instrument datasheets, etc You will also possess the following: Engineering degree (B.Eng) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Demonstrated experience across Resources and/or Heavy Industries in a project engineering capacity Experience leading projects with Installation, Verification, Commissioning and Maintenance/Operation of EIC systems Good understanding of/application of Project Controls software e.g.
