ACCIONA is looking for a Project Engineer for the Control Systems component of the M&E scope, reporting into the Area Manager. As a Project Engineer, your role would be to effectively manage control systems tasks in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders not limited to design and build partners to deliver Brisbane Metro project objectives based on TMR's busway system architecture comprised of ITS hardware, PLC, SCADA HMI and other field devices (CCTV, Customer Help Points (CHP), Public Announcement Systems (PAS), Sensors, etc) in a safe and secure manner.
Required Skills and Competencies Responsibilities include: Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental policies, applying safety-focused design and installation practices for control systems. Collaborate with Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), Civil, and Tunnel teams to coordinate control systems work with construction and commissioning. Oversee the work of subcontractors and subconsultants, ensuring they meet their scope, contractual obligations, and project policies. Prepare accurate monthly project performance reports, maintain project forecasts, and promptly report any significant changes or issues. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including QLD DTMR, ensuring their satisfaction and keeping them informed of project progress. Contribute to a productive team environment, demonstrating behaviors that align with project values and actively participating in team improvement initiatives. Pursue personal development opportunities, accept coaching, and actively contribute to the wider project team. Competencies & Experience needed Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related technical discipline. 5 years or more experience in a control systems project engineering role, undertaking complex and high-volume business projects. Ideally should have RPEQ or be eligible to have RPEQ.
