About the role
We are currently seeking multiple Communications Project Engineers to join our ever-growing Rail Operations team based in Sydney and Perth. Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Australia.
Key responsibilities
As a Communications Project Engineer you will have excellent communication skills at all levels. Tracking costs and managing subcontractors will be a key element to the role. Your skill set will be both in pre delivery and delivery of major infrastructure projects. You will provide leadership and direction to direct reports as well as interfacing with design management and construction delivery teams. As a Communications Project Engineer, you will uphold and promote the highest of Health and Safety standards.
About you
You will have experience delivering large scale infrastructure projects in the communications and operational technology rail industry, ideally having worked in a tier 1 setting. Leadership skills are essential for the role as well as a relevant Telecommunications Engineering degree. A degree in engineering (Telecommunications, Electrical) with experience working on the delivery of major rail infrastructure projects, Utility relocations, and stakeholder management. In-depth knowledge of telecommunications protocols TP SCADA PTA IMS Fibre Optics CCTV Passenger displays IPBN LLPA BAS Radio.
