About the opportunity This is an exciting, permanent role with us at Transgrid working within our Major Projects division. You'll be supporting Project EnergyConnect (PEC), which is Australia's largest energy transmission project. It involves building a new 900km transmission line to connect the energy grids in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.
As a Project Engineer – Commissioning, you'll enable the effective and timely outage and commissioning activities for successful delivery on our transmission projects:
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders, internal and external to establish accurate outage requirements as required to meet project requirementsImplement relevant contractual commissioning processes and approved commissioning quality assurance documentationLiaise with the relevant Delivery Partners and oversee the commissioning test schedule and quality documentation managementAssist the Project Manager by providing support (technical or otherwise) to achieve project delivery goalsAbout you Ability to regularly travel and stay at the project site (project map and locations for Project EnergyConnect can be found on our website)Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or substantial relevant transmission industry experienceHigh level of technical knowledge in the commissioning of substation or transmission line assetsDemonstrated experience in assessment of commissioning quality documentation and enforcement of quality standards with large contractorsA current Drivers Licence.Applications close end of day Sunday 19th January 2025 Please note, our vacancy close dates may be subject to change, we will assess applications as they are received.
