This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's Rail Sustaining Capital team.
You will collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future-ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.
In this role, you will join a friendly multidisciplinary team of professionals at our centrally located Perth CBD office and will work across various rail study projects for our tier 1 mining client.
This will include both pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, with the scopes of work offering both variety and opportunities to develop new skills and experiences in heavy haul rail project delivery.
The projects will involve areas such as rail, roads, level crossings, drainage, hydrology assessments and more.

Working collaboratively across borders and disciplines, you'll join a leading team working on interesting and complex projects.

What You'll Do:Work on study projects and ensure the study deliverables and documentation meet client and operational requirements.Develop study project schedules, budgets and forecasts.Monitor and report on project quality, cost and schedules.Develop and implement project controls and specifications, schedules and cost estimates.Monitor progress and performance against the project plan and when required take action to resolve problems and minimise delays.Reporting to the Project Manager, work collaboratively with your team as well as other internal teams, disciplines, and the wider business.Play a critical role in building strong relationships with the client through the client interface.As required, help to prepare winning proposals and contribute to our ongoing growth.About YouYou're likely to have more than 3 years of experience in Civil Project Engineering, with previous experience working on engineering study or design projects.
In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes:
Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil Engineering.Previous experience working within engineering mining or rail projects.Ability to perform effectively in a team environment and foster good working relationships.Highly developed written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.A desire to continue your professional growth and learning, and enthusiasm to contribute to the successful delivery of heavy haul rail projects.Understanding of heavy haul rail projects will be well-regarded, but not necessary.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.
