Malcolm Civil is seeking a Project Engineer for a range of infrastructure and commercial projects across South East Queensland.
Malcolm Civil handles a diverse range of projects, from principle contracted projects with budgets up to $15m involving a range of trades and specialisations, to smaller specialized civil structures or pavement and bridge remediation. Our clientele includes local authorities, ports, commercial entities, and private stakeholders. Project durations vary from 12 months to highly planned and executed 2 week long special works.

Ideal candidates will possess: Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the project team to develop and implement project plans, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and specifications. Coordinate resource requirements, including materials, labor, and equipment, to optimize project delivery. Liaise with stakeholders to ensure project objectives and expectations are met. Technical and Engineering Expertise: Apply civil engineering knowledge to review and interpret project designs, drawings, and specifications. Provide engineering solutions to optimize construction methods, prioritizing safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct technical assessments and propose value-engineering alternatives. Quality, Safety, and Environmental (QSE) Compliance: Contribute to the development and implementation of QSE plans and procedures. Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project standards and safety protocols. Participate in safety pre-starts, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. Site Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress and performance, reporting key metrics to the Project Manager. Assist in identifying and addressing project variations and delays. Maintain accurate documentation, including daily site reports, technical submissions, and quality records. Team Collaboration and Development: Work closely with site supervisors and trades to ensure seamless project execution. Support the development of team skills and foster a collaborative, safety-conscious environment.
