Following a new project win for construction of a mine tailings dam lift in WA's Pilbara region, they have an IMMEDIATE need for a civil PROJECT ENGINEER to join their high-performance team.
About The Role This role offers the great benefits of a short 8/6 FIFO roster but with a high base salary whether working site-based or office-based between projects.
As PROJECT ENGINEER you will work normal construction site hours (approximately 11 hour days) on the extremely appealing 8/6 FIFO roster ex-Perth.
The project timeline at this stage will extend to around May '25, but there is extensive additional scopes of expansion work to be completed at this minesite over the next few years.
On site as PROJECT ENGINEER you will monitor progress of the earthworks contract and provide technical guidance to the site delivery team to ensure construction conforms to design.
You will address technical queries and ensure QA adherence (ITPs/ITRs), manage subcontractors and report on progress.
This is a BULK EARTHWORKS scope of works being undertaken in the unique Pindan soil of the Pilbara so it is desired that you have worked as a PROJECT ENGINEER on similar earthworks projects recently for civil contracting companies.
Your past projects will ideally include; tailings dam construction, TSF lifts or buttress walls, site preparation earthworks, rail formation earthworks, haul & access road construction or similar etc.
On offer will be a terrific salary package CIRCA $165-180K Base + Super .
This role requires an IMMEDIATE start (4 weeks notice max.)
FIFO from Perth/WA only.
Skills, Experience and Other Requirements Minimum Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Around 5 years post-graduate experience as a Site/ PROJECT ENGINEER for CIVIL CONTRACTORS in Australia Proven success performing the role of PROJECT ENGINEER on minesite BULK EARTHWORKS projects in WA's Pilbara region on TSF projects (preferred), Access/Haul Roads, Rail Formation, Plant site bulk earthworks, or similar Stable work history but now seeking a long-term career move with a top-tier national civil contracting business Excellent all-round communication and interpersonal skills Perth/WA based with existing work rights in Australia AVAILABLE to start ASAP (*or 4 weeks notice maximum)!
