Project Engineer - Civil (Dido)

About the role
We are currently seeking multiple civil project engineers to join our Rail Operations hub to work on a regional rail project in Western Australia. This role will operate on a DIDO basis.
Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specialising in the sole delivery of all aspects of Rail, working with a team of technical experts to deliver a high portfolio of work across Western Australia.
Key responsibilities Contribute to the achievement of Laing O'Rourke's safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe and un-environmentally conscious working practices and occurrences. Provide project engineering support to the construction teams to facilitate the construction process. Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress. Direct interface with the construction crews to collect data on information required for project status, cost reporting and forecasting. Support the site construction crews with developing and communicating work packages. Development and review of work packs. Assisting with technical queries. About you
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering along with construction contracting experience.
Experience working on SMP/civil construction projects in the mining and resources industry with a focus on bulk earthworks and concrete.
A collaborative approach, with proven ability to work in a team.
