About the RoleBase Location: Perth, Glasgow, Aberdeen or InvernessSalary: £99,000 - £148,400 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.Working Pattern: Both permanent and 12 month fixed term contract opportunities | Full Time | Flexible First options availableDue to significant, sustained growth throughout the Business, we have exciting opportunities for Project Directors to join the Onshore Capital Delivery team within SSEN Transmission.Key Duties & Responsibilities:Leading the delivery of a large portfolio of complex, high value (circa £1bn to £2bn), high voltage transmission projects, delivering on time and to budget with effective financial, quality and risk management.Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders to positively influence and impact upon the delivery of projects and wider Transmission and SSE business objectives.Leading, developing and motivating a high performing team, with a strong delivery and commercial focus.Ensuring all work is executed safely in accordance with the SSE safety licence - "if it's not safe, we don't do it."Leading the identification and prioritisation of continuous improvement within Project Delivery processes and supporting wider cross-organisational improvements to drive improved project outcomes.What do I need?To be considered for this role, we'd like you to have:A strong commercial focus with significant high value project/programme management experience and understanding of major projects delivery.An understanding and experience of financial planning for large capital projects.Proven experience of successfully leading and developing large multi-disciplined teams.A strong delivery focus with experience of achieving excellent outcomes in demanding timescales within a high-pressured project environment.The ability to step back from the detail and focus on the key issues required to ensure project delivery.Confidence in managing multiple project execution issues while analysing and prioritising key delivery risks and issues for the project on an ongoing basis.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and practices.About our BusinessAt SSEN Transmission, we take immense pride in owning and operating the high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland.
